"Pat-a-Pan" is a delightful Burgundian tune that dates back to the 17th century.

CELEBRATION - Although in a minor mode, the tune is light-hearted and frolicsome in nature. It is a dance, which celebrates Christ's birth with "fife and drum." It should be played with a happy heart, giving careful attention to all staccato and malleted notes.
