A beloved Norwegian Christmas carol has been arranged with a cheerful original melody, reminiscent of a music box. The first stanza presents the traditional tune, accompanied by an LV eighth-note pattern and lilting chords. The original melody returns as an interlude leading into the second stanza, which includes thumb-damped eighth notes in the upper treble, with the melody and bass lines played with handchimes. The piece concludes with the original melody, which becomes slower and softer as the music box winds down. There are no accidentals in this delightful, accessible arrangement.
