Written to honor the life and work of a pastor, this handbell setting brings two great hymns of stewardship and service together: "Take My Life and Let It Be" and "O Jesus, I Have Promised." Suspended bells and lyrical handchime lines open to provide the tender backdrop to these melodies. The piece eventually grows to a full treatment of the hymns in the middle section and winds down with a contemplative close to reflect on a life of work and commitment.
