Dramatic swings begin this arrangement based on the hymn tune "Morning Song," or "Consolation." After the initial rendition of the tune, a melodic motive intensifies the piece, and a touch of the Ukrainian Carol appears, foreshadowing Christmas. The return of the dramatic swings leads us back to the Advent tone and theme.
