Including the confident title setting, this cantata features a gentle Comfort, Comfort Ye My People, and exuberant Hail to the Lord's Anointed, an introspective O Lord, How Shall I Meet You? and a bold affirmation of the coming of Christ with Hark! A Thrilling Voices Is Sounding. This well-known composers artfully crafted musical settings, along with his own special narrative may be incorporated as a single performance, or each of the movements maybe sung as a separate anthem for each of the four Sundays leading up to our blessed Christ's birth. Performance time: 30 minutes.
