The age-old story of our Lord's birth, retold each year around the world, is made more real, more deeply felt, when experienced within the context of the beloved carols that are woven into the fabric of this season of joy. Dale Wood's organ settings of such beloved carols have been re-imagined for chorus by Douglas E. Wagner in this work that can be effective as a service of lessons and carols, a Christmas cantata, or a carol collection for service or concert use. While there is a fair amount of nostalgia associated with these treasured tunes and texts, let not these feelings obscure our primary view as we strive to tread the true path this blessed time of year, refocusing our hearts and minds, as we each in our own way make our pilgrimage to the Babe lying in a manger, and "Come Now to Bethlehem."
