When Queen Elizabeth II made a royal visit to Bourdeaux, France, she attended a service at the Cathedral of St. Andre. The organist at the cathedral composed this fanfare for her entrance into the cathedral using full organ and festival trumpets. The piece is brief, involves large chords, but a rather simple pedal part. It is best played on a large instrument, but will make a wonderful fanfare for any festive service or occasion.
