Exuberant, marked energy and driving rhythmic excitement fill this Lightfoot original concert work of the traditional Latin text. It's a terrific opening number with vibrant mixed meters and a contrasting middle section in minor mode. Since the Christmas portion of the text is not used, it may be sung throughout the year.
