The Old Testament is filled with the theme of God's relationship with the people of God, and the promise that 'I will be your God, and you will be my people.' From the book of Jeremiah 31:33, the convenant of the Lord says 'I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts.' This contemporary hymn is based on that promise, and arranger Mark Hayes has beautifully captured the spirit for SATB voices with the use of a soloist and optional instrumental accompaniment.
