From the Chris Tomlin album, Love Ran Red, "In the End" is a congregational worship song that was born out of a season of uncertainty and sorrow. Much of the lyric was inspired by the preaching of David Landrith, pastor of Long Hollow Baptist Church, Hendersonville, TN, who was diagnosed with a rare cancer in early 2013. Jason Dyba originally composed the song as an anthem for their congregation, to remind them of our resurrection hope in Jesus and the power of the gospel. It was arranged and orchestrated for SATB choir by Dave Williamson.
