This gentle, expansive hymn tune is a fitting vehicle for the text inspired by Genesis 15:5, which cites God's promise to Abraham that his descendants would be as countless as the stars. It can be performed with organ and oboe (or C instrument), or with organ and chamber orchestra (available on rental from the publisher). The congregation joins in on the final two stanzas.
