"Dancing in the Street" was one of those pieces in which the timing of it's inspiration was a bit odd. Sometimes songs come while I'm driving or doing something else that requires my attention. However, "Dancing in the Street" was probably one of the most interesting so far; the whole first verse, the chorus and the melody came to me in the shower! Where is that recorder when you need it? A favorite of choirs, it's my retro, exuberant song of universal peace and an exciting way to open or close a concert.Poet/Lyricist:
