This Good Friday text by Samuel Wesley barely escaped the flames when the Wesley's Epworth rectory burned on February 9, 1709. Wes Cameron sets three of the stanzas to a simple melody and for the chorus adds "it is finished, God's plan is now complete." Scored for SAB choirs, this is a beautiful and accessible anthem for use during Holy Week.
