This piece is dedicated to WomenSing, Martín Benvenuto, artistic director, and was commissioned through the Marcia Hodges New Music Fund as part of the Youth Inspiring Youth Project. The poem used in this setting was written by Quinn H. Whitlow of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, at age 7. This poem was the 2009 Grand Prize Winner for the Grades K-2 Poetry category in the 2009 River of Words® Environmental Poetry & Art International Competition. Duration: 3:00
