Secular SATB divisi a cappella.
Written in honor of the late journalist Daniel Pearl and dedicated to his parents, this piece won the Cincinnati Camerata's choral composition competition. It was premiered by the Los Angeles Master Chorale under the direction of Maestro Grant Gershon, who shared these thoughts about the work: "…Sharon Farber's writing for chorus displayed great craft, and I was struck by the way in which she was able to meld aspects of Jewish liturgical music with echoes of the current generation of Baltic composers to create a unique and flexible language all her own. This is clearly a work of great emotional power that resonates through its inner intensity and restraint.
